Phonemic Awareness deals with sounds in spoken words, in Pre-kinder and Kindergarten levels we worked through a variety of activities to help children to become aware of the sounds of English.
We played games, worked with handicraft materials and experimented with every-day objects to stimulate Phonemic Awareness skills.
Working through songs and rhymes is an excellent way to improve Phonemic Awareness skills.
