"Insect World "
The kids learned that spiders are not insects, and some differences between Insects and Arachnids.
We also learned about helpful and harmful insects and we classified them.
Watching different kind of bugs
Children enjoyed the Story "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle .They watched a puppet show and appreciated a Power Point presentation having the opportunity to interact with the story in the Computer Lab.
After reading “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” we learned about the four stages of the butterfly´s life cycle:egg, caterpillar, cocoon(chrysalis) and finally butterfly.

One of our favorite insects was the ladybug. Children made ladybug cookies by spreading brown and pink frosting on a sugar cookie and adding chocolate cereal as eyes and spots.Also, kindergarten children made ladybugs masks.
