It’s time for Fun on the Farm!
After reading “When the Rooster Crowed” by Patricia Lillie,we made masks of the characters of the story, and we used the masks to made headbands and acted out retelling the story.
Children discussed the sounds that different animals make. Then they played a listening game, using the animal sounds they've discussed. We reviewed the sounds by singing “Old Mac Donald”, including the following animals: hen, sheep, duck, cow, horse, pig, and rooster. Finally the pets of the previous lesson were compared to the animals on a farm.
