On April 22nd our beautiful planet Earth is celebrating its birthday and this celebration must not go unnoticed because, today more than ever, our only home suffers various threats and needs us.

According to the UN, this day is to recognize that the Earth and its ecosystems are our home, and “to achieve a fair balance between economic, social and environmental needs of present and future generations, it is necessary to promote harmony with nature”.

This date also gives us the opportunity to become aware of the problems that affect our planet and the various living beings that inhabit it, from the fires forest until the spread of COVID-19, critical moments that should lead us to become more actively involved, as care for the pandemic is leading to use and dispose of more plastic materials that will later affect ecosystems.

From our homes we do not forget concrete and simple actions such as recycling, reuse and reduction of polluting materials and give a break to our planet that needs it so much, remembering more than ever that we need a shift towards a more sustainable economy that works for both people and the planet. Let’s promote harmony with nature and the Earth.
