Our Carmelite family gathered to welcome the new academic year 2021 from the authorities of our institution.

The teaching, administrative, maintenance and management staff participated with great enthusiasm in this special meeting.

The initial prayer and reflection was in charge of Fr. Floristan Guerrero, Deputy Director of Pastoral, who reminded us of the words of Pope Francis when he said: “Educating is giving life, and love is demanding, it asks to use the best resources, awaken passion and set out with patience with the young people”.

Our Principal Miss Norma Soberón, welcomed us and exhorted us to always act for the benefit of our students and our community.

Father Miguel Bacigalupo, President of the school, encouraged us by reminding us that we are a family, the Carmelite family, and that we are an institution that continues forward.

On that occasion, they introduced the new Commissioner of the Carmelite Order, Father Raúl Maraví who was President of the school. Father Raúl Maraví, taking as an example the experience of the Jewish people in the desert, compared it with what we are living today and encouraged us to take it as an experience to purify ourselves and bring out the best of ourselves.

The administrator of our school, Mr. Jorge Ríos, reminded us of the effort we made as an institution and collaborators to move forward in 2020, and made it clear that 2021 will be a different year, a year of challenges, to which we will all join with our commitment as Carmelites.

We are pleased to welcome our new staff and those who have re-entered after a while: Jennifer Marcilla Elguera, Valeria Armestar Orbegoso, Gaby Alva Seña y Karla Valer Montoya.

Estamos listos para empezar este año, y seguros de que Nuestra Madre la Virgen del Carmen nos va a guiar y proteger.
